This is a patch from the Madison Police Department, Madison, FL. Madison is two counties east of Tallahassee, in Madison County. The "Four Freedoms" denoted on the patch refer to the "Four Freedoms Monument" located in "Four Freedoms Park" downtown, which commemorates the Four Freedoms identified by President Franklin D. Roosevelt in his address to Congress on January 6, 1941. See "History of the City of Madison" for more. I'm not sure off hand where I acquired this patch either. |
